Las Vegas does not have a single ZIP code. Addresses using the Las Vegas mailing city are served by many ZIP codes in the 891xx series, while the wider Las Vegas Valley also includes 890xx ZIP codes used in Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City and other areas. ZIP codes are postal delivery areas rather than municipal boundaries, so a Las Vegas mailing address does not necessarily mean an address is inside the incorporated City of Las Vegas.

This distinction is especially important in the Las Vegas Valley, where major communities such as Paradise, Spring Valley, Enterprise and Sunrise Manor are outside the incorporated City of Las Vegas even though many addresses use Las Vegas as the mailing city.
